ABOUT ME
Hanna Stewart, MS, OTR/L
Hi there! I'm Mrs. Hanna, the owner of Reach Pediatric Therapy. I am a North Carolina native who developed an early love of working with children that has grown into a passion for occupational therapy. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development from Appalachian State University and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from East Carolina University. I focus on providing individualized, sensory-based treatment to children and their families. With an emphasis on play and utilizing your child's natural environments, this approach allows for safe and fun opportunities for growth and discovery.
I look forward to meeting you!

Evaluations
Evaluations are family-centered and take place in your child's natural environment (such as home, daycare, preschool, community settings, etc.) to develop a clear and complete understanding of their abilities and barriers to success with daily activities that are meaningful to them and your family. Formal assessments, informal observation, and interviews are conducted.
Direct intervention
In-person intervention is provided in your child's natural environment to address your child/family's concerns in realistic settings. It involves working collaboratively to execute treatment plans and develop home programs to ensure families feel competent and confident. A sensory integration approach is at the forefront of the intervention but is used in tandem with a variety of evidence-based approaches depending on your child/family needs.
Telehealth
Telehealth is provided to allow families across North Carolina to access OT services. It is a great option for families who live outside of my travel range, are frequent travelers themselves, or as a back-up plan during inclement weather. A parent coaching approach is used to guide families through this hands-on therapeutic process.
consultative services
It is important to ensure that all caregivers and professionals on your child's team work collaboratively to provide consistent care. I provide direct and indirect consultation to teachers, daycare directors, speech therapists, and others on their care team to optimize your child's success across all environments.
Parent Testimonials
Emily P.
“Hanna was attentive, thoughtful, and creative in planning out strategies for my son. I cannot believe how much progress my son made over the course of our short time together."
Kristen R.
“Hanna validated me as a mom, gave me support and resources outside of her time with my son to ensure he was getting the support he needed. The tools she gave us are still used today, even after being discharged from therapy. She is more than just a guide for your child. She is a support system for the family."
Jackie S.
“Hanna has made such a difference in our boys' lives and we're so thankful for her support."
